Fields of work:

This federation of island territory universities is paving the way:

  • to educational cooperation;
    • from classic methods: staff exchanges, increasing the number of Erasmus partnerships
    • to the most innovative: creation of common degrees, sharing of best practices to promote employability and aid professional insertion
  • to scientific cooperation around the following themes:
    • Environment, climate change and health
    • Renewable energies
    • Natural resources
    • Management and enhancement of water and marine resources
    • Information and Communication Technologies
    • Identities, cultural property and heritage
    • Regional dynamism, sustainable development, tourism and economy,
    • Assessment and management of major risks
  • to technology transfers, to the creation of shared platforms of research and innovation.
     

 The multilateral convention which was at the symposium of Corte, on the 9th July 2010, makes official the creation of the “ Excellence Network of Island Territories,” thereby providing the stakeholders with a working environment conducive to the development of their projects.
