Symposium RETI in Okinawa
On July 2010, The University of Corsica founded the Excellence Network of Island Territories. RETI is a scientific and academic network composed by 27 universities members.
In order to promote student and researcher mobility, the network organize every year his “RETI School” (Corsica 2011 and 2012, Canary Islands, Aegean Islands 2012, Sardinia 2013, Prince Edward Island 2014, Orkney Islands, Scotland 2015 and Malta 2016).
From 17th to 21st November 2017, the University of Ryükyüs, Okinawa Island, Japan, will host the 8th RETI School on the theme:
“Future Perspectives for Island Society: Sustainability and Self-Management”.
Suggested sub-themes of the sessions:
? Island Economy and Its Sustainability
? Relationship with Externalities: “Mainlands,” “Great Powers,” and Other Islands
? Islanders and the Power of Local Communities
? Diversity in Island Perspective: Culture, Nature, Language, Gender, and Society
? Other Subjects Related to Islands
Deadlines
Deadline for submitting papers: 06th October 2017 (new deadline).
Deadline for the early registration: 15th September 2017.
Starting of late registration: 16th September 2017.
Closing of the registration: 31st October 2017.
